LEADERSHIP TEAM.

Gail Mocklin, Executive Director/Co-Founder

Prior to co-founding Pave Your Path in 2018, Gail enjoyed a 25-year career in information technology and web design. In 2010, she began a long-term mentorship with Dr. Bruce Jackson, whose views on poverty had an enormous impact on her thinking and ignited her passion for anti-poverty initiatives. Her earliest endeavors in this regard used her tech skills to help bridge the digital gap in her community by rebuilding computers and donating them to single mothers experiencing poverty. Gradually, her focus shifted toward the much wider variety of ways technology can be used to help individuals and their families forge a path out of poverty. The more time she spent with people who were struggling to achieve social mobility, the more time she wanted to invest in their journey. As a result, Gail moved into direct, one-on-one coaching relationships while running a mentor program in Bridgewater. She led groups of women in discovering their passion and living out their full potential. Gail is now a certified facilitator in the Bridges Out of Poverty strategic poverty-reduction framework. She is a Level Two Mobility Mentoring Informed Practitioner with EMpath, Boston. Most recently, she earned a Trauma-Informed Certificate from the University of Buffalo, School of Social Work. She is also privileged to enjoy an active mentorship under Kyle Frederick, Director of Applied Neuroscience, Providence.  She is passionate about continuing to educate herself about the brain science behind poverty and how it impacts outcomes. Gail has training in Mindfulness and Life Coaching. She enjoys sharing her mindfulness practice and its benefits with the individuals she mentors.

When not working on anti-poverty initiatives, as a USA Certified Boxing Coach, she can be found at one of the local boxing gyms.

Alex Rothstein, Learning Lab Director

Alex is a Social Worker with years of experience in non-profit work and mentoring. As a certified Google Tech Educator and Northstar Digital Literacy proctor, she works to educate and provide Pave Your Path participants with fundamental, resume-building technology skills based in our six-computer Learning Lab. Alex has developed several digital literacy-based workshops on topics that address the unique needs of our participants, such as E-mail Basics, Google Apps, and Web Etiquette. In addition to the Learning Lab and digital literacy initiative, Alex also works directly with participants on their self-sufficiency goals and program milestones.

Alex likes to sing in her spare time and performs in a local theater company.
